Meet the Founders of NAO
Nutrition Awareness Organization, a woman-powered team of dietetic students and health-oriented individuals who are happy to assist the community with the endeavor for promotion of health and wellness!

Alex Cisneros
Alex believes in the significance of prioritizing Nutrition and Health. Her belief about prioritizing Nutrition and Health roots from personal experience of close family members and herself facing health concerns from the lack of awareness of how nutrition correlates with health. Therefore, it brought her to study Human Nutrition at University of Houston on the ACEND track to be a Registered Dietitian. Alex is an advocate for the promotion of nutrition for more than just the physical health but also for mental and emotional wellness. Alex advocates an intuitive eating lifestyle and the incorporation of plant-based nutrition to aide in nourishment of the body. Aside from her passion in Nutrition, she has a love for creative arts and works as a Yoga and Dance teacher! Alex has been a dancer for 16 years and a dance teacher for 7 years. Dancing is the form of art that brought her to the practice of yoga. Yoga is also an art that Alex currently teaches as a 200-hour YT certified teacher since June of 2019! Alex is thrilled to share her passion of nutrition with the Nutrition Awareness Organization and spread educational information with one community at a time.
